In celebration of National Spa Week which runs from October 16 – 22, G Salon, Spa and Store invited rolling out to experience the pure bliss of their relaxation celebration and mmm … my body is still singing their praises.

The store owner, Craig met me at the door with a smile and a choice of beverages. I then toured the facility and was introduced to his team of relaxation specialists before being led to a candlelit room and asked to undress to my comfort level. I’m not shy, not even a little bit, so I was able to fully experience every single stroke as talented fingers kneaded my bare neck, back, legs, feet, arms and fingers. The soothing, mellow sounds of jazz enveloped the atmosphere sending me into the most restful slumber I’ve experienced in a very long time.

A gentle whisper woke me, reminding me that it was time for my facial. My clothes were carried on a hanger into the next room and again the lights were dimmed and my face was massaged and caressed while words of adoration were being whispered into my ear. I must have fallen asleep again because I heard a faint tap on the door which startled me and a voice that told me that the manicure/pedicure technician was ready for me and to take my time getting dressed. I arose slowly, stretching my arms to the heavens in gratitude. After dressing I stepped out into the lobby and was greeted with warm smiles and ushered into the next room where a snack tray and sparkling water had been prepared just for me. I nibbled on fresh fruits and delicious chocolates as I thumbed through the latest magazines and chatted with the nail technician as she performed her magic. My toes have never sparkled so brightly. I have never felt so refreshed.
