Sabrina Jenkins

Director of Special Events, Turner Field

It’s no surprise that every baseball season Sabrina Jenkins can be found whooping it up in the stands at Turner Field. Jenkins, the director of special events for the Atlanta Braves has come to love the team like family after weaving her way up the corporate ranks for the past 15 years. What began as an internship in ticket sales has spiraled into the manifestation of Jenkin’s ultimate destiny.

Heading up the special events team fulfills Jenkin’s desire to get her hands wet in a plethora of activities. From corporate meetings to weddings, trade shows to luncheons Jenkins has acquired the skill set that allows her to successfully build lasting relationships that are beneficial for both the company and local businesses.

Jenkins is a member of the Turner Broadcasting supplier diversity task force, which works to ensure that vendor contracts are made available to a diverse group of businesses. “My big thing is partnerships,” Jenkins says. “Partnerships go both ways in order for it to work. If I’m going to partner with a vendor, I want them to come out and have their holiday event here at the ball park or come out to a baseball game. Obviously in return, we do business with people who do business with us.”

Jenkins has firm ideas on the qualities it takes to become a successful leader. “I think it’s very important that you are open-minded,” says the Tennessee native. “You should be willing to accept other people’s opinions, their creativity and try to nurture that.” -te-erika patterson
